The ASAT Bass is essentially the classic G&L L-2000 bass, a game-changing bass developed by Leo Fender in 1980, packed into a single-cut ASAT body shape, with a narrower 1 1/2″ nut width to help bring balance to the instrument. The result is a bass with all the power and flexibility of the L-2000 in an iconic body shape loved by bassists around the globe, including Tom Hamilton of Aerosmith who has played one since the ’90s and now has his own ASAT Bass Tom Hamilton signature model. With a pair of G&L Magnetic Field Design humbucker pickups and the G&L tri-tone active/passive electronic system, featuring a 3-way mini-toggle control for the active preamp with three settings: off, on and on with high frequency EQ boost, the ASAT Bass has plenty of sonic flexibility, making it ideal for just about any style of music from Rock, to R&B to Funk.
