Ebony Appointments give R30 a touch of visual elegance but also contribute to the exceptionally broad frequency response of this hallmark instrument. Hand-scalloped bracing lends nuances to voicing and sensitivity.
HISTORY/OUR STORY
We are European handmade music instrument manufacturer and craft our instruments with love and care. We hope you decide to join the Kremona family by enjoying our beautiful instruments. Thank you for visiting our page. Our story is below...
At the conclusion of WW I-st a young soldier exited the fronts of Europe with his companion mandolin and earned an apprenticeship at the bench of the Markneukirchen masters.
He emerged among the league of master luthiers forged in that legendary German burg. That man – Dimitar Georgiev – returned home to Bulgaria, and in 1924, founded Kremona with his two entrepreneurial brothers.
Over time, the brothers welcomed other world-class master builders into the Kremona family. As Kremona instruments spread across Europe, discerning musicians everywhere became part of the extended family. Today, Kremona flourishes with that same family spirit. We chose to introduce our wares the way we’ve always done it, by putting our instruments in the hands of musicians, well-known distributors and caring shop owners, one guitar love at a time.
We’re pleased to find our efforts have been well worth it. Every day we hear from our extended family, players and purveyors from all over the world who, trough their love of music and enthusiasm for participation, have become part of what we are today. As we invite you to peruse this representation of our work (our family of guitars, if you will), we would like to thank YOU – our extended family of musicians, music educators and music professionals, for joining us in support of our commitment to the specialized craft and long tradition of guitar building.
Thank you for sharing your lives with us!
