Takamine

This 12-stringed guitar has a dreadnought body with maple back and sides while the solid top is made out of spruce.  The combination of spruce and maple gives a clear and focused tone in the low and high frequencies as well as being less sensitive for feedback, perfect in live situation. The maple neck is reinforced to stand the higher string tension while the the fretboard is made out of Laurel and measures 47,5mm by the nut. The instrument is equipped with Takamine's TP3G preamp which have a 3-band equalizer as well as built in tuner.

Takamine did start manufacturing guitars already back in 1959 but it was not until 1962 they took the name Takamine which is the name of the mountain close to the town Sakashita were the factory is located. Since then the name Takamine have been  been synonymous with acoustic guitars and the list of artist that plays Takamine is long.
